Yeah I totally get what you mean about needing a break from the routine. We just got back from a long weekend up north and it was exactly what we needed. The weather was perfect for hiking and we even found this little diner that served the best blueberry pancakes. I think I ate my weight in them honestly. We also stopped by a few antique shops and I picked up this really cool old lamp that needs some rewiring. It's a project I'm actually looking forward to working on once I find the right shade for it.

Anyway it was nice to just disconnect for a few days and not think about work or anything else for a while. Let me know if you guys want to plan something similar soon because I'm already thinking about the next trip. We should definitely catch up properly soon and swap stories. It feels like it's been forever since we just sat down and talked about stuff. Hope everything is going well on your end and that you're staying busy with your own projects.

Lowe's Home Improvement
Hey that book you recommended last month was fantastic. I finally finished it over the weekend and I couldn't put it down. The character development was really strong and the plot twists caught me completely off guard. I've already started looking for other books by the same author to see if they are just as good. Do you know any similar authors or genres I should check out next I'm thinking of switching to something lighter before diving into another heavy series. Maybe a good standalone novel or a short story collection would be a nice change of pace.

Also I finally tried that recipe you sent me for the lemon pasta. It was surprisingly easy to make and the sauce came out perfectly creamy. I added a bit of grilled chicken to it and it was a hit with everyone at the table. Thanks so much for sharing it I'm definitely going to make it again next week when I need something quick.
