Yeah I just got back from the hike and the trail was surprisingly clear for this time of year. We started around 7 and made it to the ridge by 10. The fog burned off right as we reached the top so we had this incredible view of the whole valley. I packed way too much water but better safe than sorry. My legs are definitely feeling it now though. I think next time we should try the north loop it's supposed to be a little shorter but has better shade coverage. Let me know if you want to borrow my gear for the next one.

The weather held up perfectly honestly I was worried about the forecast but it ended up being one of the best days we have had in weeks. We saw a couple of deer near the creek crossing and a hawk circling overhead for a while. I tried to get a photo but it was too far out. Anyway just wanted to share the update. Hope your weekend is going well too. JN0fK6ZvFBsR6

I finished reading that book you recommended last night and I have to say the ending really caught me off guard. I thought I had figured out where the story was going about halfway through but the last two chapters completely flipped everything. The way the author developed the main character felt so gradual that I did not even notice how much they had changed until the final scene. I stayed up way too late finishing it but it was worth it. Do you have any other suggestions along those lines?

I also started trying that new coffee shop near the park and their cold brew is actually really smooth not bitter at all. The atmosphere is nice too lots of natural light and quiet corners. I might start going there on weekends to read or just zone out for a bit. Anyway thanks again for the recommendation I really enjoyed it. Let me know if you want to grab a coffee there sometime.
