Hey, thanks for asking about the project I mentioned. I finally got around to starting it last weekend. The weather was perfect, so I spent most of Saturday out on the deck reading and sketching ideas. My dog kept trying to sit on the notebook, which was hilarious but not very productive. I think I have a solid concept now though. It involves a lot of small modular pieces that can be rearranged depending on the season. My neighbor saw my rough sketches and offered to help with the woodworking part. He has a full workshop in his garage. I might take him up on that because my tools are laughably basic. Anyway, I'm hoping to have the first prototype done by next month. If it works out, I'll send you a picture. Let me know how your thing is going too. We should catch up properly soon.

I promised my friend I'd help him move his furniture this weekend, but I totally forgot about the garden club meeting that same Saturday morning. I hate when plans overlap like that. I ended up having to reschedule the move for Sunday afternoon. Luckily he was understanding. The garden club meeting was actually really interesting this time - we discussed native plants that attract butterflies. I took some notes on my phone. I think I'm going to try planting milkweed in the back corner of the yard. My wife thinks it's a great idea too. She's been wanting more color out there. Anyway, after the meeting I grabbed coffee and ran into an old colleague. We ended up talking for an hour about random tech gadgets. It was a pleasant surprise. Sometimes the best moments are unplanned.
