Regarding your question about the hiking route for next Saturday, I suggest we start at the north trailhead and work our way toward the summit via the switchback path. The elevation gain is gradual and should take us around two and a half hours to reach the top. I hiked that route last month and the views from the ridge are impressive. We should plan to bring plenty of water and some snacks since there are no rest stops along the way. The weather forecast looks favorable with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-seventies. I can drive if you want to meet at my place around seven in the morning. That should give us plenty of daylight and we can take our time coming back down. Let me know if you prefer a different starting point or if you want to invite anyone else from the group. I will pack extra trail mix and a first aid kit just in case. Also, I recommend wearing sturdy boots because there are a few rocky sections near the top that can be tricky.
