I think the best approach for the community garden project is to start with raised beds this season. The soil in that area has too much clay and doesn't drain well. A few of us have already sourced some untreated lumber and we're planning to build four beds, each about 4 by 8 feet. We'll fill them with a mix of compost and topsoil. If you want to join us this Saturday morning around 9, we could use an extra pair of hands for the assembly work.

I will bring extra gloves and a measuring tape just in case. Let me know if you can make it so I can plan accordingly.

The book club meeting last night was really productive. We discussed the first half of the biography and everyone had different perspectives on the author's writing style. Some found it engaging while others thought it was too detailed. We decided to split the remaining chapters into two sessions so we can cover the material more thoroughly. Next meeting is scheduled for two weeks from Thursday at the usual location.

I will send out the discussion questions by Tuesday so everyone has time to prepare before we meet again.
