I think we should plan for Saturday afternoon around 2pm since the weather looks good and everyone seemed to prefer that time. The park has those covered picnic tables near the pond which should work well for the gathering. I can bring some of the side dishes and maybe a couple of desserts if others handle the main courses. Let me know if you need me to coordinate with anyone else about what they are bringing. I was thinking we could do a simple setup with some tablecloths and maybe some flowers to make it feel a bit more special. The kids can play on the grass nearby while the adults chat and eat. I also wanted to ask if anyone has dietary restrictions I should know about for the dishes I am preparing. Let me know what you think about the timing and I will start reaching out to confirm with everyone. We should also figure out who is bringing drinks and ice.

I looked into the garden bed plans you sent last week and I think the raised design would work really well along the south side of the yard where it gets the most sun. The soil there has always been a bit rocky so building up with fresh soil and compost would give us a much better growing environment. I measured the space and we have about twelve feet of length to work with which should accommodate a nice variety of plants. I was thinking we could do tomatoes along the back row with peppers and herbs in the front so everything gets enough light. If you are available next weekend I could pick up the lumber and supplies and we can get started on the assembly. Let me know if that timing works for you or if you had a different weekend in mind. We should also talk about what type of trellis to use for the climbing varieties.
