Jayson Tatum gives first reaction to Celtics' Jaylen Brown trade

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown formed one of the NBA’s best duos for many years. But that tandem is no longer intact after the Boston Celtics traded Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers last week for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks.

It was a stunning trade that saw Brown go to a longtime Celtics rival, one that knocked Boston out of the 2026 playoffs with a Game 7 win at TD Garden back in May.

A sunny and warm day ahead as we dry out and heat up

It was a soaker yesterday. In addition to several reports over 2” locally – and up to 5-6” on parts of the Cape – we officially broke through the 1” barrier in Boston. This was the first time we saw over an inch of rain in Boston in almost four months! Our last soaking rain was 1.02” on March 16.

We’ll dry out and warm up today. Highs will climb back to the low to mid-80s (upper 70s at the immediate coast) with plentiful sun and a fresh breeze.

Enjoy it because the hot temperatures are right back on us tomorrow as highs near 90 and the humidity ramps up. We may see a random storm fire up in the afternoon – especially over the Worcester Hills.

President Donald Trump said later that the interim agreement with Iran was “over” but he would allow talks to continue. That raised concerns that the wider conflict in the Middle East could resume — and oil prices shot up.

“For me, I think it’s over,” Trump responded when asked about the status of ceasefire. He added that U.S. representatives can continue negotiations but he cast doubt on the outcome. “They can talk, but I think they’re wasting their time,” he said.
