Taipei, Taiwan, July 9, 2026 –QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading computing, networking, and storage solution innovator, today officially added AI Assistant features to mobile apps: [2] Qfile Pro, [3] QuMagie, and [4] Qmanager. Powered by advanced on-device AI technology, these new features allow users to manage files, organize photos, and monitor their NAS using simple, short everyday voice and text commands. All AI processing runs entirely locally on the user's mobile device, ensuring maximum privacy and data security without sending any personal data to third-party cloud servers.
Qfile Pro
Qfile Pro is QNAP's comprehensive mobile file management app that allows users to seamlessly access, backup, and manage NAS files on the go. With the new AI Assistant, users can perform cross-folder searches, initiate daily photo backups, and check upload statuses simply by using clear, specific keyword commands (e.g., "Find videos added last week"). It also features an intelligent "Sleep & Transfer" mode for uninterrupted overnight backups and a one-tap option to safely free up phone storage after backups are complete.
QuMagie
QuMagie is a smart photo management application that utilizes AI to effortlessly organize, browse, and share NAS photo and video collections. The QuMagie AI Assistant introduces intuitive keyword search capabilities, allowing users to find specific memories by specifying people, places, or time (e.g., "Find photos of Chloe taken in Taiwan"). Supported by on-device face recognition and scene classification, it also enables smart batch uploads and generates one-tap sharing links directly through conversational commands.
Qmanager
Qmanager is a dedicated mobile app designed for system administrators to remotely monitor system health and efficiently manage NAS settings. By integrating the AI Assistant, Qmanager replaces complex menus with an intuitive quick command interface. Administrators can now check remaining storage space, query power schedules, add new user accounts, monitor system health (CPU, memory, temperature), and proactively detect error messages simply by asking questions like "How much storage space is left?" or "Are there any recent errors?".
"With the integration of on-device AI, we are fundamentally transforming how users interact with their personal data. Managing files and organizing photos is no longer about navigating complex menus, but simply speaking simple everyday commands," said David Hu, Product Manager at QNAP.
"For IT administrators and power users, efficiency and privacy are paramount," added Yuna Chen, Product Manager at QNAP. "With entirely local AI processing, Qmanager supports simple, direct commands. This saves management time while keeping data strictly on-premises—allowing users to achieve both highly efficient management and data privacy."
