My Weekly Recap July 12th, 2026

Lately, I've made a new commitment to my health.

If I'm honest, I've let a few things slide over the past several months. Stress has a way of doing that, doesn't it? You get through one challenge after another, pick up a few habits that don't really serve you, and one day you realize you're not feeling like yourself anymore.

So, I'm starting again.

Thankfully, I have a beautiful gym in my building, and one of my favorite places to walk is around the marina. Even on a cloudy day, there's something about being near the water that instantly calms my nervous system.

One thing I've learned at this stage of life is that I don't need to rush anymore.

In my younger years, I probably would have thrown myself into an intense workout program and tried to change everything overnight. These days I'm much more intentional. I move slower. I listen to my body. I give it what it needs instead of trying to force it into keeping up with my expectations.

Ironically, slowing down is helping me make more progress than pushing ever did.

It reminds me that healing isn't about doing more. It's about creating the right conditions for your body to do what it was designed to do.
