Hello again!

England and Argentina clash today in a World Cup semi-final laden with emotional baggage: Antonio Rattin's expulsion in 1966, Diego Maradona's infamous Hand of God 20 years later and David Beckham's red card in 1998.

My colleagues Gabriel Araujo and Lori Ewing set up the match between two old foes, with Lionel Messi dragging Argentina along and Jude Bellingham emerging as England's hero.

Rosalba O'Brien takes us through the long, complicated history behind the rivalry, while Lori also reports from England's camp, where Thomas Tuchel insists his team are focused on the future, and not the ghosts of the past.

Scroll on for Julien Pretot on Didier Deschamps' French legacy — and Argentina's lucky dark blue shirt.

We would love to hear what you've made of the World Cup so far and who you think will win it all come Sunday. Hit reply to share your thoughts and predictions!
