potential! | | | | “For those who don't know me, I've spent more than 25 years working across the games industry, covering publishing, business development, commercial strategy and helping studios bring games to market.
I've had the privilege of working with developers ranging from first-time indie teams to established publishers, leading businesses, launching successful titles and building partnerships.
Today at Xsolla, I continue to work closely with studios of all sizes, giving me a front-row view of both the opportunities and challenges facing our industry. There is no escaping the fact that the past few years have been some of the toughest the UK & Ireland games industry has experienced. Funding
remains challenging, discoverability is more competitive than ever and commercial success can no longer rely on simply building a great game.
The biggest lesson from the past few years is that collaboration has never been more important. The UK & Ireland continues to be home to some of the most creative and entrepreneurial talent in the world. If we can combine that creativity with stronger collaboration and commercial discipline, the industry's next chapter will be defined not by surviving difficult times, but by building a more resilient and sustainable future together.
I look forward to sharing insights, learnings and hopefully solutions with everyone I talk to.” - Darren Newnham, Country Manager, UK & Ireland Ready to level up your game commerce? Schedule time to meet Darren in-person. | | | | | | This week, Xsolla is at Develop: Brighton, one of the UK’s biggest events for developers, publishers, and the wider game industry. We hosted Xsolla Connect Brighton, a dedicated networking event where creators and industry leaders connected, shared ideas, and explored the evolving business of
games. | | Spotlight on
