Help Advance Malaria Research
NIH researchers are looking for healthy volunteers ages 18-54 in the DC area to join an important malaria study.
In this study, volunteers will get malaria in a carefully controlled medical setting. Our team of doctors will watch your health closely, answer your questions, and provide treatment.
What to expect as a volunteer:
- Have multiple outpatient visits at the NIH Clinical Center during a 1-month period
- Stay at the NIH Clinical Center for about 4 nights
- Develop early symptoms of malaria such as fever, chills, headache, body aches
- Have mosquitoes bite your arms
- Compensation provided of up to approximately $4,025
