The Senate HELP Committee has postponed its vote on CDC nominee Erica Schwartz to next week "due to attendance issues," a HELP spokesperson said. The vote is expected to go in Schwartz's favor, after she won key support from Chairman Bill Cassidy (R-LA). He grilled Schwartz in a hearing last week about whether she would stand up to "junk science." But in his opening remarks on Thursday, Cassidy said he is "confident that she knows what she is doing and will stand against those who do not."
