Meet Matt.

He is a senior software engineer at Meta.

He also built a golf micro-saas that does $30K/month (as a side project).

A few weeks back, he DM'd me with a question I couldn't stop thinking about:

"Should I keep my Meta job, or go all in?"

So we played a round of golf and talked about it.

On paper, Matt has everything.

Big tech salary. Benefits. Job security.

By most measures, he already won.

But...  something in him wanted more.

The first thing he wanted to do in the morning was work on his own thing. The last thing he wanted to do before bed was work on his own thing.

So he did.

Nights and weekends for years.

Until it started working!

Today his micro-saas is on pace for $800K+

And this is exactly what makes the decision so hard.

Keep the job + keep building on the side? (but sacrifice his time and sanity)

Or... make the leap. (and risk everything)

Leave the comfortable, known thing behind for the life of being an entrepeneur.

But here's the thing I keep coming back to:

If you start building, and it starts working, you're eventually going to face this same decision.

And nobody can give you a clean answer.

I gave Matt my advice, but even I told him to take it with a grain of salt.

Some people stay until they're at $80K/month.

Some people leap at $5K/month and never look back.

Some people never leap at all, and they're happy.

At the end of the day, only you can decide.

So I'm curious... what do you think?

Have you been through this?

Are you in it right now?

What would you tell Matt?

Go watch the full episode.

Then hit reply and tell me what you would do.

Keep building!

– Pat
