Dana took the breakfast program on the road to Northam on Friday to celebrate the festivities around the Avon Descent with the local community. We took the opportunity to join the Northam Bilya Festival and had a ball! It was one of the best fireworks shows I've ever seen. Thanks to all who welcomed us to town. We were also able to work closely with our local reporter Eliza Bidstrup who covered live TV crosses and filed to the news bulletins.
Congratulations to our reporter Chloe Henville who joined 1,500 people participating in this year's Backroads Gravel event. I saw lots of muddy bikes heading south after the event on Saturday with rain and wind making it more of a challenge than expected. Chloe completed her first half marathon after training very hard in recent months.
It's a very busy time of year so if there's something exciting happening in your area, please let us know.
