Join Mairi Nicolson live from Hamer Hall as Jaime Martín leads the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 6.

Featuring ghoulish xylophone sounds, heart wrenching woodwind chorales and a giant wooden hammer playing what his wife Alma called the 'blows of Fate', hear Mahler's darkest symphony in this special live broadcast recording.

The orchestra also performs the world premiere of Freshwater Saltwater by the orchestra's Cybec First Nations Composer in Residence, James Henry.
