I hear you on that. The thing about the lake trail is that the southern bend stays muddy until late morning, so most people just loop back near the pavilion. Yesterday I ended up walking the whole perimeter anyway because the weather was too nice to turn around.

Janine asked if I wanted to meet at the ridge overlook after lunch, but I passed since I still had to sort out the car rack in the garage. Honestly, the rack is fine - it just makes a rattling noise around forty miles an hour, which is probably a loose bolt.

I told my brother I would help him move the patio table this weekend. He keeps saying it's a two-person job even though we lifted it fine last October. Anyway, if you go on Saturday, take the west entrance instead of the main gate; much less dust on the gravel road.

That board game took way longer than I expected. We started around six and by ten we were only halfway through the second round. Marco kept joking that the rulebook reads like a translated appliance manual, and honestly he wasn't wrong.

The good part was the snacks - Lina brought those little stuffed peppers and some kind of herbed cheese spread. I didn't ask for the recipe because I know she guards it like a state secret. She did mention adding extra lemon zest this time, which I think made the difference.

Next week we're trying the new trivia set that Dana picked up. I'm not great at geography rounds, but I did okay last time with the science questions. If you end up hosting, let me know and I'll bring the good folding chairs from the basement.
