As a freelance marketplace, part of our job is to protect you from abusive clients and other risks, but that protection only works on-platform. We've seen reports of bad client experiences that, once investigated, happened off-platform, where those protections don't apply.

That's why moving business off-platform is against our Community Standards — today we removed hundreds of accounts for doing exactly that.

We'll keep enforcing this policy going forward, for any account, regardless of level or tenure.
