It’s the film that almost didn’t get made: Coyote vs. Acme is in theatres this weekend, after a real-life David vs. Goliath-esque battle that nearly saw the project shelved. And lucky for movie lovers. This delightfully silly film is a “ Looney Tunes movie for our moment, ” writes critic Barry Hertz.

And the world lost actor Tim Curry this week. The actor perhaps best known for his turn in the cult-classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show died at age 80 after a long career playing over-the-top villains. Writer Luke Ottenhof pays tribute to the actor, calling Curry’s madcap performance in Rocky a “paragon of liberated living” and a reminder that we’re not just allowed to feel happiness in this life; it’s a birthright.
