Lane Shifts on 15th Street South for Median Demolition

Starting no sooner than Monday, September 8, the center lanes of 15th Street South between South Clark/Bell Streets and Crystal Drive will close while crews demolish the median. There will be one lane open in each direction. One northbound left turn lane from Crystal Drive will also close to correspond with the open lane on 15th Street South. The north sidewalk remains closed.

This work is expected to be completed in early October. After this work is done, crews will move on to do work on the north edge of the block to build the protected bike lane, in coordination with the completion of the current work on South Clark Street.

About the Project

The 15th Street South/South Clark-Bell Street Realignment project will realign South Clark Street to connect with South Bell Street at the intersection of 15^th Street South and implement intersection improvements on Crystal Drive at 15^th Street South and at 14^th Road South. The project will also add bike facilities including a protected bike lane and other connectivity. The project is expected to be completed in early 2027. Learn more on the project page.
