A new client just sent me a 10-page AI report about his fitness.
Analysis of his training volume. Bodyweight trend interpretation. Potential tweaks.
One of the specific questions he had was whether or not he should be doing more sets for his bicep curls each week.
After ChatGPT thoroughly answered all his questions, he decided he should.
Funny enough, I asked my coach the exact same question about a year ago.
He's a world champion natural bodybuilder. So he knows about biceps.
"Yo Dirk - do you think 12 weekly sets is enough for my biceps rn?"
His response (in your best German accent):
"Shut up Matteo. This is plenty. Follow the plan first. We can adjust later"
So I did.
Now my arms are bigger than they've ever been.
It's not that 12 sets is the optimal number for biceps.
But I had enough buy-in and follow-through to make it work.
AI doesn't always give wrong information, A.
But it won't tell you no, like Dirk told me. It doesn't know how to tell you to shut up.
So you end up over-informed, over-adjusting, and under-executing.
Ask it whatever you want. Just know it's going to agree with you.
- Matteo
p.s. We've got 6 coaching spots open for September. I take on 2 a week, first come first serve.
Fair warning - I'm going to tell you no a lot. Lol
