Visit the New VCS Food Court on the Ground Floor of the San Juan VA Medical Center — Opening This Friday

 Dear Veterans, 

We’re excited to share great news from the Veterans Canteen Service (VCS). Starting this Friday, September 4, 2026, the VCS Canteen officially moves from the basement to a new, larger, and more comfortable location on the ground floor of the San Juan VA Medical Center. This new space was created because we listened to your needs and expanded to give you more food choices, better service, and improved experience during your visits.

Welcome to the New VCS Food Court – Patriot Café

The Patriot Café now brings together multiple food concepts so you can enjoy a wide variety of fresh, flavorful options all in one same place:

• Local Favorites [Criollo menu]
• Chicken [Fried, Baked & Flavored]
• Grill [A La Carte Menu]
• Deli [Sandwiches & Wraps]
• Global Cuisine “Taco Güey” [Tacos, Burritos & Quesadillas]
• Sushi/PokeBowls “PokēBar Express”
• Pizza/Calzone
• Simply-To-Go [Grab & Go Hot & Cold Food Items]

Patriot Mart (concession kiosks) will be available, offering convenient items you can quickly pick up throughout the day.

Extended Hours for Sr. Baguette (OPA) Because many of you asked for more options later in the day, Sr. Baguette (Deli) extended hours:

• Monday–Friday: open until 5 p.m. • Saturdays: 8 a.m.–2 p.m.

These improvements reflect our commitment to making your experience at VA Caribbean Healthcare System more comfortable and convenient, with more flexibility and variety in your daily meal options.
