All Weather: an actively managed source of return, market-independent.
Hi Awhahaw,
We are excited to announce that, as part of our Wealth Management offering, we’ve added All Weather, an absolute return investment style designed to aim for returns over the medium term, regardless of how broader financial markets are moving.
Our All Weather portfolio combines three complementary strategies:
✓
Flexible fixed income
To limit downside impact and generate returns, even when the bond market is under pressure.
✓
Long/short equity strategies
To generate returns whether markets rise or fall, reducing overall exposure to stock market risk.
✓
Macro trading on currencies and interest rates
To diversify the portfolio's sources of return.
Suited to investors who:
You're looking for returns independent of market movements
You want an additional, uncorrelated source of return to complement your existing holdings
Your investment timeline is between 3 and 6 years
You want performance driven by a strategy that moves differently from your standard equity, balanced or fixed-income exposures
Is All Weather a risky portfolio?
All investments carry risk and you may get back less than you invested but despite this being a complicated strategy, the complication is there to help minimise the risk. From common market risk indicators (SRI), this strategy carries an overall risk that is in between our level 3 and level 4 (out of 7) risk level portfolios.
Where can you find All Weather?
Go to Managed Portfolio, select Stocks & Shares ISA, General Investment or Junior ISA and then choose the Absolute Return investment style. There, you will find the All Weather Portfolio.
