Flu season is here, and the Jackson VA Healthcare System is making it easier for Veterans to get protected.
Beginning Thursday, September 24, 2026, Veterans may receive a flu vaccine between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Both regular and high-dose flu vaccines will be available.
Where to Get Your Flu Shot
Veterans may receive a flu shot:
- During a scheduled appointment at their assigned Primary Care Clinic
- During a scheduled appointment at most Specialty Care Clinics
- At a VA community clinic
- At in-network community pharmacies
Veterans who are not assigned to a Primary Care Clinic may visit the Green Clinic at the G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center.
Some specialty clinics may not be able to provide flu vaccines. Veterans visiting those clinics will be directed to their assigned Primary Care Clinic or, if unassigned, to the Green Clinic.

- Columbus VA Clinic
- Greenville VA Clinic
- Hattiesburg VA Clinic
- Kosciusko VA Clinic
- McComb VA Clinic
- Meridian VA Clinic
- Natchez VA Clinic
Regular and high-dose flu vaccines are available.

Annual flu vaccination is the best way to reduce your risk of seasonal flu and its potentially serious complications. You can also help limit the spread of respiratory illnesses by:
- Washing your hands frequently
- Covering coughs and sneezes
- Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
- Staying home when you are ill
