Hey Klop, I'd like to take a moment to be honest with you today. I'm 37, I'm divorced, have a life that brings me a lot of joy, and I haven't tracked a macro in over 5 years. But for a long time I kept showing up online like I was still the person who started this account. Not because I was lying - I just didn't know who else to be on camera. When I started doing this, I was 20, tracking my macros & training all the time. Flexible dieting and strength training were all I really cared about. I just wanted to share that with the world. Creating content was so easy because it was quite literally my entire life. I've been in this industry almost 20 years now - and for a third of it, I've quietly known the version of me that built my audience doesn't exist anymore. Outside of my divorce & being in a relationship with the love of my life, I've got so many things that really fill my cup - I have some incredible friendships, I play cricket in the summer months, I love tech, travel & experiencing the world, and the thing that brings me the most joy outside of all that is music - going to gigs & dancing the night away with my people. I still co-own my gym, run my coaching business, and love working with the people that I do. But for me, now, fitness is training for an hour 4 times a week, my gym and working with my clients. Fitness isn't my personality anymore. It's a part of it, for sure, but not the whole part. And ultimately, I want to coach people like me. People who have other interests. Other passions. Other priorities. Not people who want fitness to be their whole personality - people who want to look & feel better without giving up the fifteen other things in life that actually bring them joy. If that sounds like you, awesome - you’re going to start seeing a lot more of that side of me here. If not - thanks for coming along on the ride, I really appreciate you. Have an excellent Wednesday ❤️ - Nick |
