Veterans experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or difficulty accessing essential services are invited to attend the annual Jackson Veterans Resource & Recovery Stand Down.

This free event brings VA staff, local agencies, businesses, and community organizations together in one location to help Veterans connect with immediate assistance and long-term support.

• When: Friday, September 25, 2026, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• Where: The Railroad District - 824 S. State Street Jackson, MS
• Lunch: Complimentary lunch will be provided.

Veterans can receive information, assistance, and connections for:

• VA health care and medical services

• Mental health care and support

• Homelessness prevention, housing resources, and housing support

• Employment assistance and career opportunities

• VA benefits and community-based services

• Essential resources from participating community partners

Last year’s Stand Down connected approximately 80 Veterans with VA and community resources. This year, dozens of businesses, nonprofit organizations, local agencies, and state agencies will be available to help Veterans identify resources, ask questions, and take next steps toward improved health, housing, employment, and well-being.
