Hello Wolf Pack!
This Friday is our Oak Hill Run-a-Thon! We are 75% of the way to our $15,000 goal to help finish purchasing our cafeteria tables! Use these last few days to help us reach our goal!
Students should wear their new grade level t-shirts (thank you, PTA!). Families are welcome to cheer their runners on. Bring a chair and report directly to the field. Spectator seating is at the yellow stars. Start time is 9:30 for grades K through 2, 1:30 for grades 3 and 4, and 2:30 for grades 5 and 6.
Next week is Blue Star Welcome Week. Blue Star Welcome Week is a nationwide initiative to ensure military families feel a sense of belonging to their school communities. Blue Star Welcome Week is an opportunity for our community to welcome our military-connected families and show them our appreciation for their service and sacrifices.

Friday, September 25th: The parade starts at Planet Fitness in Greenbriar Shopping Center (at 4:30 pm) and passes through Majestic Lane and Poplar Tree Road, ending at Greenbriar West Elementary School.
AAP Informational Meetings
Please mark your calendars for Monday, September 28th from 9:15-10:15 for an AAP information meeting (in person). Doors will open at 9:00 to allow time for signing in on the Visitor Management system. The presentation will start promptly at 9:15.
Mrs. Lahr, our Advanced Academics Resource Teacher, will discuss the continuum of Advanced Academics services offered in Fairfax County Public Schools. Please RSVP here if you wish to attend the presentation on September 28th.This presentation is open to all families in grades K-6.
Families of Full-Time students do not need to attend unless they wish to learn more about the other levels of AAP services available in FCPS. Please note this presentation will NOT cover how to apply for Full-Time Services.
The Full-Time AAP presentation will occur on October 27th. More information to come.
Twice Exceptional Students
Fairfax County Public Schools is committed to challenging all students through talent development and differentiated instruction. Twice-Exceptional (2e) learners are students who are gifted and have learning challenges or disabilities.
Families can learn more about 2e learners, how to support them, and how to partner with schools on the 2e webpage, which also includes a link to the Special Education Handbook.
New information, including printable flyers, has been added under the heading Supporting 2e Learners in FCPS.
