TRUMP ADVISER DAN SCAVINO got in a heap of trouble on Saturday for posting a video about how much partying he’s doing as White House deputy chief of staff.
With a barrel of oil topping $100 and mortgage rates shooting up, the timing of Scavino’s AI-generated clip of him and Eric Trump drunkenly carousing on a luggage cart with two glamorous women could not have been worse. Set to Miami singer Pitbull’s “Don’t Stop the Party,” the six-second video shows Scavino rolling through an imagined White House hallway spraying champagne everywhere before the well-lubricated gang runs into a jovial Trump. Scavino claimed on Instagram that it was his “post State Dinner party.”
It was unclear why Scavino thought this kind of glitzy “Let them eat cake!” tone was the right one to set. Liberals were delighted by the image of out-of-touch Trumpworld figures drunk on their own power, while Republicans hoping to limit the damage were stunned.
“They look so stupid,” groaned former Republican Senate candidate Kathy Barnette.
