Effective Immediately | Oct. 6 Closure of the Port Charlotte VA Clinic

Hello from your Bay Pines VA Healthcare System,

Earlier today, Tuesday, Oct. 6, a main water line broke in the vicinity of U.S. Highway 41, which is near the Port Charlotte VA Clinic. This break resulted in an immediate stoppage of running water for structures in the surrounding area, including the Port Charlotte VA Clinic. Charlotte County Utilities has resolved this issue; however, the impacted area remains on a boil water notice until further notice.

The timely and safe provision of health care remains Bay Pines VA Healthcare System’s number one priority. To ensure continued safety of Veterans and staff, all in-person services at the Port Charlotte VA Clinic are suspended for the remainder of today, Oct. 6. This temporary closure includes walk-ins and scheduled appointments.

Appointments that can be facilitated virtually, will be converted to tele-health. All other appointments will be rescheduled at the soonest availability. An update will be provided once the boil water notice is lifted.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding as we work to resume routine operations.
