Termly Cookie Policy Update
We’re updating Termly-generated Cookie Policies to clarify how cookie consent works across devices and browsers. Depending on your implementation, action may be required.

Dear Termly user,

We’re writing to let you know about an upcoming update to Termly-generated Cookie Policies. Depending on how your Cookie Policy is currently added to your website, you may need to take action to ensure the latest version is displayed.

What’s Changing

✓

Cookie Consent Across Devices and Browsers

We’re updating Termly-generated Cookie Policies to clarify how cookie consent preferences are stored. Consent choices are saved locally in each visitor’s browser and device, meaning visitors will be asked to make their choices again when using a different device or browser, browsing in private or incognito mode, or clearing their cookies or browser data.

Action Required

The action you need to take depends on how your Termly Cookie Policy is currently added to your website.

1

If You Use the HTML Embed Method

Please log in to your Termly Dashboard and regenerate your Cookie Policy. Once regenerated, copy the new HTML embed code and replace the existing Cookie Policy HTML on your website with the newly generated code.

2

If You Use a Code Snippet or Hosted URL

Simply regenerate your Cookie Policy from your Termly Dashboard. You do not need to replace the existing code snippet or hosted URL on your website.

Thank you for being a part of Termly.

Best regards,
The Termly Team
