The Intercept is preparing to send reporters around the country to document any potential voting interference on Election Day and in the weeks that follow.

With barely two weeks to go before Election Day, one thing is clear: Donald Trump will seek to undermine — and potentially overturn — any election his party doesn’t win.

Election deniers who have promoted conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election are now playing key roles in the administration of elections in battleground states and districts around the country.

In addition, election experts warn that Trump himself could severely disrupt the midterms by sending federal agents to polling places or seizing ballots and voting machines.

The Intercept is preparing to send reporters around the country to document any potential voting interference on Election Day and in the weeks that follow — and the amount of money we raise between now and November 3 will determine how many key races we can afford to cover.

Will you donate $5 to help The Intercept’s reporting on November’s critical midterm elections?

We all saw on January 6, 2021, the lengths that Trump will go to stay in power. Trump has spent years pushing baseless claims of stolen elections, undermining voter confidence and radicalizing his MAGA base.

The Intercept is planning to send reporters to key districts to cover Election Day — on the watch for any election irregularities and claims of election fraud.

We’d love to have enough reporters to cover every competitive race. But as a small nonprofit news outlet, our resources are always scarce. So we’re asking you, our readers, to chip in whatever you can today.

Chip in $5 to support The Intercept.
