Cleveland State University is the latest institution to launch integrated degree programs. "Believing that you or your team can accurately predict all the details on the road to your desired outcome without making any missteps ensures that it's only a matter of time before your fragile optimism shatters into a thousand little pieces," Tasler writes.
Common Application data reveals a 5% increase in first-year applicants, with significant growth among first-generation and low-income students. The data show that colleges are prioritizing diversity and authenticity, prompting students to focus more on personal stories and unique perspectives rather than a checklist of achievements.
Stockton University's Tween Tech is an annual program designed to introduce middle-school girls to careers in science and technology. The event, organized by Claudine Keenan since 2017, aims to inspire girls aged 11 to 14 to pursue interests in STEM fields by providing a supportive environment where they can engage with peers who share similar interests.
Statistics from Generation Hope indicate that one in five undergraduate students is also a parent, with 68% experiencing housing insecurity annually. The situation is more severe for students of color, with 85-90% of Black and Latinx parenting students facing instability. As highlighted by the Hope Center for Student Basic Needs, these statistics reveal the widespread nature of this crisis among student-parent populations.
