Delaware's new statewide esports program, initiated by the Department of Education and local universities, seeks to engage K-12 students in competitive gaming to foster essential skills such as leadership and problem-solving. Esports "offers a wide range of career opportunities beyond playing -- programmers, analysts, coaches, event organizers, graphic design, marketing, and commentator are a few of the career opportunities," said Colleen Perry Keith, president of Goldey-Beacom College.
