Hello and happy Friday!
It's been a good week at the FoodieCrush household where a few hiccups in our everyday routine are finally returning to normal and things are settling back in. Disruptions. They're just part of life's flow. In my humble opinion, the best way to get through them is to accept and power through. And eat more cookies. I was grateful to my former self when I pulled a few dough balls of my mom's chocolate chip cookie recipe from the freezer to bake fresh and deliver to her. The combo of chocolate chips, oats, and nuts takes me back to my childhood every single time. Truth be told, I may wander into the kitchen after dinner to eat a dough ball straight from the freezer. However, I've also discovered they bake up more plump when frozen, so take that to the cookie jar (or straight from the freezer) and enjoy.
