The 2025 Rhode Island Radio & Television Hall of Fame class is out, and this time around, the folks at Channel 10 (WJAR) and Channel 6 (WLNE) came up with an adorable way of informing inductees from their respective stations.
The full list of inductees, which will be announced next week, includes Channel 10’s Mario Hilario, Channel 6’s John DeLuca, ESPN’s Doris Burke (a Providence College graduate), longtime weatherman Steve Cascione, PODER CEO Tony Mendez, and veteran sales executive Andy Lamchick.
The folks over at 10 and 6 went above and beyond for Hilario and DeLuca.
Hilario learned he was going to the hall live on television Thursday morning. Click the image below to watch.
Over at Channel 6, the team had the great Ken Bell surprise DeLuca with the announcement. Click the image below to watch.
The ceremony will be Sept. 25 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick. Congrats to all the inductees!
