Fairfax High School Weekly Update
HAPPY Friday to all of our Fairfax Families,
This week, we proudly celebrated the 760 students who made the Honor Roll for Quarter 2! These hardworking students were recognized with certificates and enjoyed some well-deserved snacks. Their dedication to excellence makes our school shine!
On the athletics front, our trips to states have been slightly delayed, but that hasn’t dampened our excitement! We can’t wait to cheer on our gymnasts as they flip into competition, our track stars as they launch the shot, our wrestlers as they battle on the mat, and our swim and dive team as they make big waves in the pool. Stay tuned for updates as our LIONS compete at the highest level!
February is CTE Awareness Month, and we are thrilled to highlight the incredible Career & Technical Education programs and opportunities available to our students. From hands-on learning experiences to career-focused pathways, our LIONS are gaining valuable skills that will set them up for future success. Come out tonight for more industry entertainment and watch our Fairfax Academy Dance take the stage with

Unified Sports Team wins against Woodson!
Mane Market
For the second year in a row, the Mane Market – our school store – has earned the DECA Gold School Based Business Recertification Award.
The School-Based Enterprise (SBE) Chapter Certification Program provides recognition for outstanding achievement by school-based enterprises and motivates SBEs to strive for excellence and growth. Our Entrepreneurship 2 students created a 20-page Business Presentation describing our store and our plans for growth over the remainder of the school year. In the Mane Market, students sell Fairfax clothing and small items during lunchtime. We are in growth mode and designing and printing our own new Fairfax logo shirts. This opportunity has enabled students to feel like Entrepreneurs of their own small business.
