I remember when I weighed 260 pounds. I was constantly exhausted, overwhelmed by depression, and felt as if my body was rebelling against me. As a dietitian, teaching others to eat well, I was filled with shame when I could barely make it up the stairs.
For a long time, I was completely out of balance. Slowly, however, I began to make changes to nurture my body, mind, and spirit. I started meditating, embraced the Mediterranean diet, and challenged myself with a 120-day hiking challenge. As my well-being improved, the weight naturally began to fall away. Within a year, I had shed much of the excess weight and rediscovered my vitality.
I have maintained my healthy weight for over ten years now, and I love helping others achieve the same success. No matter where you are on your weight loss journey, I applaud your efforts and want you to know that you can do it!
