What can we do to make transportation safer for you? Share your feedback and locations of concern using the 4th Annual Safety Feedback Form through April 30.

Want more information before completing the form? Check out our 2024 Annual Vision Zero Progress Report and Virtual Open House StoryMap to learn about recent initiatives and crash trends.

We will also be hosting various events and pop-ups throughout April in addition to the online feedback form and virtual open house.

See below for the line-up and join us if you can:

2024 Progress Report & StoryMap Published

The 2024 Annual Progress and Virtual Open House Story Map are now available.

The report details the progress that Arlington County made on the 90+ action items set forth in Arlington’s Vision Zero Action Plan. The following infographic provides an overview of these activities in 2024.

You can also view this information in a Virtual Open House StoryMap. This year we added video components to help explain ongoing initiatives.

Route 50 & Highland St Safety Pilot

We are excited to announce a pilot project we are conducting in collaboration with the Virginia Dept of Transportation (VDOT): a tactical median closure at the intersection of Route 50/Arlington Blvd & Highland St. These treatments will restrict left turn movements from Route 50 to Highland, left turn movements from Highland St to Route 50, and through movements between N and S Highland St. Based on the results of this pilot project, Arlington and VDOT may consider implementing this treatment along Route 50 before construction begins on the permanent safety project in 2030. Look out for installation this spring.

West End Alexandria Audit Map

The City of Alexandria is conducting a safety study of seven (7) high-crash intersections along the City's West End including three intersections along Arlington County’s border (one of which was the location of an Arlington reported fatal pedestrian crash). Please use the online feedback form to share your thoughts and experiences, located on the project website at: www.alexandriava.gov/go/4794.
