Porter County Commissioners grant protest permit for May 1 but hold fast on future requests

Porter County Commissioners approved a permit Tuesday for the 50501 Movement to hold a protest on the south lawn of the courthouse May 1, but won’t loosen permitting requirements for requests from the movement, which has been holding protests against the Trump administration nearly every two weeks.
