Credit: Getty Images | Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is cutting short a visit to South Africa, after at least eight people were killed and dozens injured in a Russian air strike on Kyiv, in the deadliest attack on the capital since July. The trip was a historic first for Zelensky who is seeking to counter Russia's influence on the continent. He is still meeting President Cyril Ramaphosa before returning to Ukraine. Russia's attack came just hours after US President Donald Trump accused his Ukrainian counterpart of harming peace negotiations. US special envoy Steve Witkoff is heading to Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin for a fourth time. |
