Just how good would a boring stretch in the financial markets feel about now? 

Tariff tumult has sent the S&P 500 index on an exhausting roller-coaster ride. The short-term impact on our portfolios is hard to stomach, but good things can come of the chaos in the long term, according to financial advisers. A stronger emphasis on diversifying across stock types (growth and value) and geographies is one of them.

As calls to diversify abroad multiply, and as Europe continues to outperform the S&P 500 this year, we asked experts in the latest Where to Invest $10,000 story to focus abroad.
