Early Release Monday - April 28
April 28th will be our 6th Early Release Monday for teacher planning.
Students will be dismissed at 12:25pm. SACC will be open for afternoon SACC students and will close at their regular scheduled time. Students of families that have made arrangements for after school child care provided by Providence, will be dismissed at 3:25pm.
If you now require childcare for the early release, please contact our main office at 703-460-4400. Visit PES website for more information

SOL Spring Testing Dates
Following the end of Spring Break, students will be focused on showing all that they have learned this school year. We have a tentative testing schedule ready for families, please mark your calendar and try to avoid being absent:
Reading SOL May 5th - Grade 6 May 6th - Grade 5 May 7th - Grade 4 May 8th - Grade 3
Math SOL May 12th - Grade 4 May 13th - Grade 3 May 14th - Grade 5 May 15th - Grade 6
Science SOL May 21st - Grade 5

Kindergarten Registration
Do you have a child that is five years old or will be turning five by September 30, 2025? If you do, please register them for Kindergarten at your earliest opportunity. To start the process you can either visit https://www.fcps.edu/online-registration or call the Providence Elementary School office, Monday through Friday, between 8:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. to make an appointment to begin your child's registration.

Summer Extravaganza
Discover summer learning and activities available in Fairfax County!
Attend the FCPS Summer Extravaganza on Saturday, May 10, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at Woodson High School and get a jump on summer learning. At this free event, participants can engage in educational and enrichment activities designed to inspire curiosity and growth.
