Give Feedback on Proposed Wilson Blvd. & N. Rhodes St. Improvements

Wilson & Rhodes - Annotated Concept - April 2025

The Wilson Boulevard & North Rhodes Street Intersection Safety Project team has prepared a preliminary concept design for the intersection and has launched an online feedback form to gather input on the proposal.

This concept design incorporates community feedback we received in fall 2023, plans for the public right of way from the adjacent residential development approved by the County Board, planning guidance adopted by the County Board, site observations and operational data from the intersection, and other input from the public via Report a Problem.

This concept design is available now on the project page, along with an online feedback form. The form will be open through the end of the day on Sunday, May  4.

Courthouse Mobility Hub Engagement Update

Courthouse Mobility Hub - Metro View

Using your feedback from fall 2024, transportation staff created a concept design to address community priorities for making the Courthouse area easier to get around.

Feedback on the concept design will help finalize a design to better integrate existing transportation options, make transfers easier, help orient people, and create a more enjoyable public space. For more, check out the engagement summary or the project page.

How to Prepare for Metrobus Route Changes

Do you know your better bus route? - April 21 2025

Starting on June 29, WMATA will be implementing their Better Bus Network Redesign to consolidate bus stops and rename bus routes throughout the region.

Here's what you can expect:

WMATA has replaced route identifier flags at bus stops to help introduce the new routes, but you can learn the changes ahead of time by looking at WMATA's Better Bus resources.

  • All Metrobus routes will go by new names
    • See the Virginia list to cross reference your current routes with the renamed routes
  • Some - but not all - bus stops that only serve Metrobus will be consolidated or removed
  • Some routes will serve new destinations:
    • For example: Metrobus 38B Ballston-Farragut Square will be renamed Metrobus A58 Wilson-Farragut Square, and will serve Farragut Square, Ballston Metro, and the Seven Corners Transit Center

Did you know?

Arlington County partners with WMATA to determine where to add new stops, but WMATA alone makes decisions about Metrobus service to stops and whether to consolidate or discontinue at a stop, based on ridership data.

Learn more about the redesign and find maps and resources online at WMATA.com/betterbus.
