Early Release Monday
Monday, April 28 / Dismissal-12:25 p.m.
|
Your child will follow the same dismissal procedure as previous early release dates, with the exception of those students attending SACC which is open at dismissal time.
In order to ensure student safety, please do not make any last minute changes to your child's dismissal plan.
Students receive lunch daily, including early release days.
The last Early Release Monday is May 19th.

SOL Testing Schedule
Students in grades 3-6 will be taking the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) tests in May.
Please avoid scheduling trips or appointments that would take your child out of school during this time period.

In planning for the next school year, parents/guardians are invited to complete the Parent Input form to assist with the best class placement for your child. We ask input on how your child best learns and any special considerations when placing students in classrooms.

What: A celebration of our Deer Park community, favorite foods, fitness, care for the earth and our love of reading.
When: Tuesday, May 6th - 5pm to 6:30

If you can donate your family's favorite finger food/dessert, please email, Nicole Wheeler, or Erin Stamp with your child's name, teacher's name and food item you would like to share.
Then drop the food items off in the office on May 6 any time or bring it when you come in the evening.

Get to Know FCPS and the Resources Available to Families
Being connected to your school community helps you stay informed and support your child’s success. Take some time to get familiar with the many resources and tools available to FCPS families, including:

School Age Child Care (SACC) – This Fairfax County government program provides a safe and fun environment before and after school for elementary school-age children.

FCPS Communications for Families – FCPS shares news and information to support student learning and promote family engagement.

FCPS Family Academy – We know that as a parent or caregiver, you play a critical role in your child's education. The Family Academy compiles classes, webinars, workshops, and programs offered by FCPS to help you support your child's needs and learning at home. The Family Academy also includes information about resources to help you ensure your child has what they need to succeed.
Family Liaisons – Family liaisons serve as a link between families and schools. You may reach our wonderful family liaison, Mrs. Arevalo, at 703-802-5003 or by email.

Restaurant Night at Farmside (near Wegmans) April 30th! Share it with your neighbors, coworkers etc. The more the better for Deer Park!
