Happy Friday Fox Mill Families,
By the time of posting this newsletter today, you should all be getting ready to come to one of our largest annual events. Our Japanese Cultural Committee (JCC), worked tirelessly to bring the school to life representing the true meaning of Matsuri, a fun filled festival of Japanese games, crafts, delicious food, and exciting cultural activities. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and your family at Fox Mill Matsuri.
We would like to thank Endo Sensei for her generosity and her dedication to Fox Mill. Endo Sensei thought of a wonderful and practical way to give back to Fox Mill and continue her efforts in sharing Japanese culture with the students for years to come. Her amazing and thoughtful donation of location signs in Japanese, will be a focal point of learning, as we navigate the building.
FIELD DAY 2025
Field Day for Kindergarten-6th grades will be held on Thursday, May 22nd. We have been working hard to teach all the games to make sure students are prepared for this event. We would also like to give you some information as well:
-
3rd -6th grade field day will take place in the morning from 9-11:15 and K-2nd grade field day will be in the afternoon from 12:45-3 p.m.
- Students may bring:
- a hat or sunglasses to help keep the sun out of their eyes (optional)
- a water bottle for them to carry around from one station to the next (no Gatorade, Juice, or soda)
- Please consider applying sunscreen before they come to school, as they will be out in the sun for two hours.
- Please have them bring a dry change of clothes as there will be one water station where they might get a little wet.
We are looking forward to another fun filled and successful field day at Fox Mill this year. If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Riggs at cpriggs@fcps.edu .

We also want to thank everyone for coming out last night, it was great to see so many parents, teachers, and community members. If you were unable to attend the meeting slides and minutes are posted on our website here. Please be sure to mark your calendar for our final meeting of the year on June 5th @ 7:00 in the FMES library. We will be presenting and voting on our proposed 2025-2026 Budget. Happy Friday and see you all at Matsuri tonight!
