Dear Bailey’s Families,
We had such a fun and engaging week at Bailey’s! On Wednesday, our 1st grade students hosted their Family Museum Night, and we had a fantastic turnout. Their interactive exhibits showcased creativity and learning—and everyone had a great time exploring!
On Thursday, we welcomed families back for a lively Bingo Night. Thank you to everyone who came out, and a big thank you to our PTA for organizing such a fun community event.
Looking ahead, Field Day is coming up next week! Please see below for important details to help your child be ready for the day.
Wishing you a great weekend!

Field Day for Bailey’s Primary
•Kindergarten Monday, May 19th from 9:15 AM until approximately 11:20 AM
•1st Grade Monday, May 19th from 1:00 PM until approximately 3:00 PM
•2nd Grade Tuesday. May 20th from 9:15 AM until approximately 11:20 AM
How students can be prepared for Field Day:
✓ Because the weather will likely be warm, students should wear comfortable and cool clothing.
✓ Students must also wear sneakers/tennis shoes. No boots, sandals, or flip-flops should be worn on this day.
✓ Hats and visors may be worn for protection from the sun.
✓ Please have your child bring a water bottle WITH THEIR NAME ON IT so it can be carried around all the stations. Drinking water will be available for refills. No glass containers please.
✓ Please do not bring juice, soda or any drink other than water, as it could attract bees.
✓ Some stations will involve water and students may get a little wet. If students do not want to get wet they should notify their teacher.
✓ Students may wish to bring a towel and dry outfit to change into after field day.
✓ This event is for current Bailey’s students AND the parents who signed up to help run a station. Parent volunteers are not allowed to bring other children to this event. There will be sign-ups going out in the Thursday folder.
✓ Most importantly… Be prepared to have FUN!!
May Lunch Visitation Schedule
Parents/Caregivers are invited to join their student(s) for lunch at school on an assigned day. This is a great opportunity for parents/caregivers to come in for lunch with their child.
We encourage parents/caregivers to eat the same lunch as their child either packed or school lunch. We kindly ask that you do not bring fast food/outside lunch or candy. Also, parents please be advised that the bathrooms directly outside of the cafeteria are for student use only.
On the day of your child’s lunch, please arrive 5 minutes early so you can sign-in at the office and they will direct you to the cafeteria. Additionally, when you leave the school, please remember to check out in the office. If you choose to buy lunch from the cafeteria, adult pricing is $4.75 and may be paid in cash or by check. Click here for more information on purchasing lunch.
We ask that you please limit visitors to 1 caregiver, and no strollers please. We also ask that family members do not follow their child's class back to the classroom or outside for recess.
Please see below for the scheduled lunch visits by teacher.
Please Avoid Garden Area – Work in Progress
We’re excited to share that planting and gardening work is underway outside the Bailey’s Clubhouse near our school playgrounds!
As a friendly reminder during drop-off and pick-up, please help us keep students out of the designated work zones marked with caution tape, and encourage them not to walk on or disturb the newly planted areas.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of next week. Thank you for your support in helping us care for this growing space!
Moving Up and Moving On! End-of-Year Celebrations for 2nd Grade and Kindergarten
We’re excited to announce the dates and times for our upcoming end-of-year celebrations!
Our 2nd Grade Moving Up Celebration will take place on Friday, June 6 at 2:15 PM on the soccer field. We’ll come together to celebrate all they’ve accomplished—and send them off with love as they head to 3rd grade!
Our Kindergarten Parade and Celebration will be on Tuesday, June 10 at 2:45 PM, also on the soccer field. We’re so proud of our kindergartners and all they’ve achieved as they prepare for 1st grade.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
