Graduation clap out for former RHES Rockets!
Friday afternoon, Rose Hill welcomed back former students who are now graduates of Edison and Hayfield High School. For the first time in over 15 years, Rose Hill did a graduation clap out where current students line the hallways and see what their future holds while celebrating the success of former Rockets. The energy was palpable and so many smiles and hugs were given. Once a Rocket, always a Rocket!
Thank you Community Partners!
We are incredibly fortunate to have many community partners who support Rose Hill in various ways. Whether it is through a monetary donation, food donation, or simply their willingness to doante a service, we are grateful! To let them know how much we appreciate them, Ms. Edwards had her father etch their names in a plaque that will be on display throughout the year. It's our way of saying thank you! Students Display their Art at Local Gallery
This past week, the students in Mr. Irby's after school art club had their artwork on display. The Nepenthe Gallery graciously hosted the art show for our students. Thank you to Mrs. Kate Pennington for coordinating the event and for Mr. Irby who is curating a love of art in many of our students.
Growing Sunflowers from Seeds
If you are a parent of a first grader, you most likely saw them come home Friday with a baby sunflower plant that they have been watching grow since planting the seed in some dirt a few weeks ago. The students have been diligently watering them and making sure the seedlings were getting enough sun. This project was a part of the recent science unit that they were exploring.
