ActivTrak’s 2025 “State of the Workplace” report, which analyzed activity data from nearly 200,000 employees at 777 companies, shows the average U.S. workday has shifted from roughly 9 a.m.–5:21 p.m. two years ago to about 8 a.m.–4:39 p.m. today—yet overall productivity has climbed by approximately 2%, with workers tending to operate in 24-minute focus bursts.
