Your Story Starts Here - Prologue
We’re busy preparing for an exciting new school year at Kings Park Elementary, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back! This year’s theme, Your Story Starts Here, celebrates the power of reading and the belief that every student belongs and matters. Each child is the author of their own story, and our classrooms are the pages where those stories unfold. Through books, shared experiences, and meaningful connections, we’re building a school community where every voice is heard, every journey is valued, and everyone plays an important part in our story together.

Books and Bubbles - Wednesday, August 13th, 2:45pm-3:30pm
Join us for a playful celebration on Wednesday, August 13th, from 2:45pm-3:30pm to kick off the school year! Books and Bubbles is where friendships begin, imaginations grow, and the first chapter of a brand-new school adventure is written.
Meet your teachers, explore the playground, connect with classmates, and blow some bubbles as we launch into a joyful year of learning and discovery. Kindergarten and 1st graders will meet on the playground, 2nd and 3rd graders will gather on the blacktop, and Preschoolers will start their adventure on the preschool playground located near the gym. Come write the first page of your story with us!
Kings Park Open House - Friday, August 15th, 8:45am-9:30am
Join us on Friday, August 15th, from 8:45am-9:30am for our Kings Park Open House. Open House is a time for students and families to informally meet their teacher and to explore the classroom. Staff members will be on hand to give extra assistance during the open house to help you find your child’s classroom. We hope to see you there! We encourage families to enter the building and practice walking to class the same way their students will each day. Please see the below map for coordinated entrances.
Kings Park Back to School Night - Wednesday, September 10th
Save the date for KPES Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 10th. Come join us to learn more about our teachers, the school day, and our instructional programming. We hope to see you there! While no times have been set, more details will be coming soon.
Kings Glen Open House - Friday, August 15th, 9:30am-10:15am
Join us on Friday, August 15th, from 9:30am-10:15am for the Kings Glen Open House. Open House is a time for students and families to informally meet the teacher, reconnect with friends, visit with new classmates, and to explore the school. Staff members will be on hand to give extra assistance during the open house to help you find your child’s classroom. Families are welcome to drop off school supplies during the visit.
Kings Glen Back to School Night - Wednesday, August 20th, 6:00pm
Save the date for Kings Glen (Grades 4-6) Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 20th at 6:00 pm. Come join us to learn more about the teachers, the school day, and instruction.
