Dear Franklin Sherman ES Parents/Guardians,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome Kelly Dorcey as our new Administrative Assistant. Kelly brings a wealth of experience and a diverse skill set to our team. She recently served as a Registrar at Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy where she managed student information systems, handled enrollment and withdrawal activities, and maintained meticulous student records. Prior to that, she held an Administrative Assistant role at the same academy, showcasing her ability to support teams, manage data, and handle various clerical functions.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kelly is a dedicated volunteer, having fostered dogs for various spaniel rescue organizations and served as a 4-H Volunteer instructor and Junior Leader.
With her comprehensive administrative, HR, and customer service background, coupled with her strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy, Kelly is a fantastic addition to our staff and community. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!

Join us on Friday, August 15th, from 11-12 for the FS Open House. Open House is a time for students and families to informally meet the teacher, reconnect with friends, visit with new classmates, and to explore the school. Staff members will be on hand to give extra assistance during the open house to help you find your child’s classroom.

Save the date for our first PTA meeting 8/27 at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria followed by back to school night from 6-7 p.m. This is for parents/guardians only so that you can come and learn more about the teachers, the school day, and instruction.
